!! Don't touch my overtime! !!
President Bush and Senate Republicans want to expand exemptions to overtime protection in order to help make up for the huge deficit that has ballooned under their administration. What this means: longer hours and less money for working-class people. Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) has proposed an amendment to a new spending bill that would prevent the overtime changes from taking place. If it passes, President Bush is threatening to veto it. First he ruins the economy with tax cuts, and now he is trying to steal millions of dollars from the people who benefitted the least. Click here to encourage your Senators to vote for the Harkin amendment and send the message to the President that abuse of executive power is not okay.
