today! In New York, we're electing City Council members and voting on important ballot measures, such as a the nonpartisan election initiative. I think I'm voting "no" after all, if only because of the scary state of the gay movement right now. I don't think New York can afford to lose any Democratic seats to Republicans or other conservative wackos, even if partisan politics suck. Maybe I'm still paranoid from the 2000 election. Anyway, at least I can vote for Jerry Kann, a Green candidate, instead of my crappy, incumbent, fake Democrat Councilman, Peter Vallone Jr., who is the only one on the Council to support the Patriot Act. Yuck.
