I want to experience some Real New England Sacred Harp Singing over Memorial Day weekend when I head up north for a few days. I found this site, which lists all the regional sings in the whole country, along with ones in Canada, England, and Australia. Awesome! The Manhattan sing last month was so good, and I got to sing tenor, which is fun, especially when we sing songs like Easter Anthem.
Some news for you: California teens may not be able to go to tanning salons without a doctor's note in the near future thanks to a new bill in the state congress. Skin cancer is on the rise, and somehow all these "scientists" have linked tanning beds to malenoma/death. Whatever, maybe all those smartie-pantses should just go see The Day After Tomorrow and leave California teens alone to be beautiful in pink and sweaty peace.
