!! Philips wants to ruin television !!
I have grown to love DVR technology almost as much as pizza. If it weren't for the fact that I don't own a DVR, then I would be tempted to say that I couldn't live without it, but such as it is, I do have to watch commercials when I'm watching TV at home.
However, Philips has just developed new technology that could even invade my already-flawed setup. The devious new patented technology works on two levels:
1. It would require viewers to pay a fee to the network every time they skip commercials with DVR.
2. If a commercial is playing, the viewer would be unable to change channels until the show is back on, thus taking away completely their control over their own television.
I am shocked and horrified. Are you?
