I'm only recently familiar with lovably bad American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar, but it looks like the record companies are one step ahead in promoting him before America stops loving him.
If Sanjaya is not yet a part of your life, watch the video after the jump and it will explain everything. Specifically, watch for the young girl in the audience who can't stop sobbing. That's the way it makes me feel as well.
It's funny though. I don't see anything wrong with this image. I didn't read any sort of bashing or homophobia and transphobia in this image. It's all in good fun. Photoshop can do wonders in this day and age.
In response to Mr. Browning? C'mon. The picture is all in good fun. And no offense, if people are trying out for A.I., and putting themselves willingly in the spotlight, then they have to expect this. Especially if they are as horrid a performer as Sanjaya. I mean, he'd be lucky to get an album cover...even if it looked like this.
Okay, you know I'm a longtime reader, but I really think this picture is in poor taste. I blogged about this pic too on bilerico.com, but I called it for what it is - another way to build homophobia and transphobia. Sanjaya is well known for being effeminate and while America has loved to hate him for the past few weeks, this is simply taking it over the top.
