!! OMG, how Canadian: Serena Ryder !!
Her country twang seems affected considering she grew up in Ontario (it's even more pronounced than that of fellow Canadian Shania Twain), and when she's not twanging, her over-enunciation frequently waxes Alanis, but it's nice to hear folkie Serena Ryder's music playing on Top 40 radio here in Toronto. Her song "Weak In the Knees" is pretty even if the lyrics are less than inspired, and more importantly: her album was not produced by Timbaland!
