!! Kelly Clarkson cancels summer tour !!
I was looking forward to seeing Kelly Clarkson this summer. I really was. I love that song about never venturing off the sidewalk, and the one about her hazel eyes, and the one about walking away... I think she could put on a good show, but she will be putting on no shows this summer due to poor ticket sales and pressure from her label Sony BMG.
After getting repeatedly slammed by Clive Davis, head of Sony BMG, over her new record "My December," for which she wrote or co-wrote every single, and after firing her manager, poor Kelly has been under a lot of stress.
The official statement from her website:
I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y'all. In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won't be coming out to tour this summer. The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.
But I promise you that we're going to get back out there as soon as is humanly possible to give you a show that will be even better.
