!! OMG, how gay: Counter-clockwise hair !!
Who knew that it was as easy as looking at the back of someone's head to tell if they are a homo? It's not actually that simple, but the hair whorl is one of several intriguing new possible genetic links to being gay described in the recent New York Magazine article "The Science of Gaydar." (via Kenneth)
Also of note:
Digit Proportions (Female): The index fingers of most straight men are shorter than their ring fingers, and for most women they are the same length or longer. Gay men and lesbians tend to have reversed ratios.
They got me with the second one! My index finger is longer, though my hair whorl is so heterosexually clockwise. Maybe that means I'm bi and I never knew!

LMAO I saw a program on Discovery a few years ago stating that an extra boost of testosterone in the womb is what is attributed to longer ring fingers and that men with longer ring finger tend to be more athletically able than their shorter fingered counterparts... but no where did they say it made you gay.. I am a hetero Mom with 5 kids and a much longer ring finger....

So my breeder friend bought the New York magazine that had this article in it so he could read the iGod article about Steve Jobs. He thought it was interesting and handed it off to me. I read it and brought it home to let my partner read...then we examined eachother's "whorl" (not a euphemism). Turns out that I'm gay...index finger too!...and I've been living with a STRAIGHT MAN for a year!!!
