I know the raunchiness is part of Madonna's charm, but is she in fact getting too old for lyrics like this? (via Mollygood)

I am a Madonna superfan (loved American Life and all that) but after hearing Hey You I thought her new album would be horrible, and listening to Candy Shop is no different - man thats awful.
Madonna may be turning 49; however, The Material Girl is at the top of her game, and rightfully so. She has a spirit that can not be broken. One day she will retire. It is my hope that this will not be an event to take place anytime soon. Let Madonna sing and entertain us all until the final curtain is drawn to a close.

Regardless of her age Madonna has basically arrived at the point of self-parody. Her lyrics have always been kind of dubious but these are almost laughable. How many more times can she ask us all to get up and dance? I think the dead horse she keeps beating would really like her to stop.
