!! 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' get re-rendered !!
Hollywood is so shamelessly playing to the current generation of 20-somethings' sense of nostalgia, that my first instinct is to boycott any movie based on a cartoon series from my childhood. The problem is, I really want to see Transformers.
Alvin and the Chipmunks, on the other hand, looks so tragically bad that I should have no problem staying away. Not only do the CGI-rendered Alvin, Simon, and Theodore look far too much like real chipmunks, their voices have no character at all. Plus where are the Chippettes?
