!! OMG, how difficult: Keira Knightley's life !!
Keira Knightley doesn't like the red carpet and that makes two of us. While I find it merely boring and pointless, Keira finds it degrading!
She tells Allure magazine:
"I hate red-carpet events; I absolutely hate them. I don't like the fact that people write, 'Oh, you look like crap' in print. Or 'I don't like your arms!' " In terms of self-assessment, Knightley says, "I'm not Wonder Woman. I have self-esteem problems. Everybody does. You know, skinny people are allowed to feel s--- about themselves."
Of course I've never had my arms criticized in print, so it's harder for me to sympathize. I've only ever heard good things about my arms, actually. (via Dlisted)

I like that Keira is honest in the interviews she gives. I think it is cool that not all young actresses are walking mannequins with no brains. I must also say that she held her own against Judi Dench in "Pride and Prejudice" last year. And if you haven't seen "Bend It Like Beckham," its really worth the rent!

good for her! glad there's at least one in hollywood that isn't egotistical and bathes in the limelight (there are a few who aren't like that, yes). just because people know who you are doesn't mean the world or anyone in it depends upon seeing you all the time or sounding off into a microphone.
austin... please. yes, she is an actress. it's a job... not a social role.
btw she looks beautiful in the picture. could've done with different hair, but on the whole, gorgeous
