American Idol's new superstar favourite, 17-year-old David Archuleta, is an old hand at performing in front of huge audiences. This week on the show we saw him in a cell phone video unabashedly approaching Kelly Clarkson and singing to her when he was 11. Today I came across the above video of the little diva at 12 performing on Star Search.
He's definitely the best jail-bait on the show, but methinks his humility will get the best of him in the end. Remember MELINDA DOOLITTLE-SHREK? Best singer, too humble.
Come on dude give the boy his props. He is far and away the best in a fairly mediocre group of 24 or 20 or 16. Watching him at 12 is scary because he was clearly as talented then as he is now.
However, it is that clip of him at 11 singing to the AI cast that bumped me from unsure to this boy gotta be queer. What straight white 11 year old sings And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going? Nada, nunca, none, zilch, zero. Hope he's been laid already because if not his cherry is going to be bought by the paparazzi thanks to his newly earned celebrity.
Awww... leave him alone! Did you hear his version of "Imagine?" it was awesome! Who cares where he's at sexually? He's freaking 17! He sings amazing. I voted 105 times... I was confused at 17 but if I was on American Idol I'd hope we would be judging my voice. Can't we just make fun of the openley queenie Danny Noriega?
