!! OMG, how progressive: Scottish TV !!

Scottish primetime soap Tinsel Town had a racy intergenerational gay love story (involving a police officer and a high school student) that is highlighted here in a series of clips. David Paisley, who plays 17-year-old Ryan, is openly gay. If only Doug Savant’s Dr. Matt Fielding on Melrose Place had gotten so much action!

  1. Ah, those tasty accents.
Now, who really answers the door like that? I see London… ;-P
    Only in soaps….

  2. WOW. Nice selection.

  3. That’s awesome.

  4. That is so cool. Europeans have always been more liberal and open about showing man on man love. I just wish our American TV was as progressive. Those love scenses are hot!

  5. Wow, where do I enroll?!

  6. Cute… But that can’t be ALL the clips to the story, could it? If so, the storyline seems kinda disjointed…
    WB Frank!

  7. Aw, I remember Tinsel Town. It aired in 2000, so it’s old news now. So not as good as Queer As Folk, but yeah, still remember being 14 and feeling really naughty watching it.
Good find! But the Ryan character is actually really whiney and annoying. Sucks! I seem to recall a drug addled DJ or something that was more worthy of ogling…

  8. wow this show is really old
