This is from the German prime-time game/variety show "
Wetten dass..." which means as much as "I bet that..." where contestants perform this sort of physical feat or other unusual task. Celebrities then bet on whether they will succeed or not. It's been running long enough that I remember it fondly from my youth even though I've not lived in Germany for 18 years.
