I've actually never seen that movie, and to be honest I'm shocked at how cheap it looks, and that they hacked their way through one of those "everyone in the kingdom comes out and cheers" endings.
Anyway, the alternate ending's dirty, so I put it up.

I agree; the alternate ending is better. But really, I think it's wrong to say Stardust stays true to fairytale form by having the hackneyed ending. The movie's ending is significantly different from the book... It's not quite so happy in the novel, and it's less lame. (And most fairytales aren't Disney, if you read the ones before the last forty years.)

This movie was such a great fantasy, fairy tale! It stayed true to form because practically all fairy tale endings have that ending! I loved this movie!
