Stephin Merritt, the man behind the Magnetic Fields, Future Bible Heroes, and The Sixths, took part in NPR’s All Song’s Considered “Project Song,” where he went into the studio, picked a word and a piece of art to use as inspiration, and wrote and produced a song in two days.
