A gay couple in Virginia was married when one of the men passed himself off as the bride. Justin McCain became "Justine" on his wedding day in order to marry Antonio Blount.
Justine's not that creative. Where was his punny drag name? What about Sowanna Husband or something?
It was worth it for the sentence: "It's unclear if McCain is in the process of becoming a woman..." I really want to take this out of context and quote CNN as reporting that.
Well, their rights are guaranteed by the 14th amendment, in order for the state to deny this person the right of liberty and to abridge or deny their rights of privilege they have to show cause on an individual basis for that denial through habeas corpus and judicial denial of those rights. No blanket law covers a denial or an abridgment of individual right infringements. Now the courts will have to show cause as to why these rights are denied one citizen and favored for another.

All persons* born or naturalized in the United States**, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
*There are no exclusionary conditions of citizenship. The term "All persons" is without exception to any sociological identifying markers or traits.( ie: belief, religion, sex, race, sexuality, education, economics).
**There are only two conditions of criteria that must be met to be identified and recognized as a United States citizen.
1. Those are birthright (being born in the United States) or naturalization through procedural adjudication .
2. Residing within the jurisdiction of the United States.
These are the only two criteria mandated in the United States Constitution to validate a citizenship of the United States.
