They don't make 'em like this anymore! Check out the above animation following in the footsteps of The Dark Crystal and Fred Penner's A Promise is a Promise by not being afraid to scare children. I don't agree with the religious motivations behind it, but I like it when things made for kids aren't sugar-coated.

Also, since Twain is known for social commentary, and satire--I doubt that the religious implications of the piece are really that great.

That clip is from "The Adventures of Mark Twain," a really strange kids movie from 1986. I saw it in the theater. It was released to coincide with the return of Hailey's Comet; Twain was born in 1835, a HC year, and planned to (and indeed did, according to Wikipedia) die upon its 1910 return.
