!! OMG, he got tazered: Naked Man at Coachella !!

nakedcoachella.png
This is so awful. A man at Coachella was tazered for refusing to cover himself up in his wizard’s robe. Talk about misuse of force! I mean, was the only solution to risk his life? Could they not have put him in handcuffs and wrapped a blanket around him? Terrible.
See the NSFW (and not in a sexy way) misuse of force video after the jump.

  1. the naked guy broke the law, was given ample opportunity to not only cover up but to obey the authorities, & finally resisted arrest. I applaud the police officers for their patience & restraint. Was this unnecessary force? absolutely not.

  2. I hope they lock those cops up and throw away the key! Animals!

  3. Don’t.
    Resist.
    Arrest.
Very simple instructions. Even if you are right and the cops are wrong, they have the power. If you resist, you are creating criminal charges where there were none, especially if everything is being documented on video.
If the local community has nudity laws, then the fellow in the video was violating them. He was given several minutes of opportunities to comply with the request to put his clothes back on. As another poster pointed out, the police tried for a few minutes to put handcuffs on him.
Granted, he didn’t seem to be ninja-trained to kill someone with his tiny penis, but his actions lead me to believe that he was either very high, or mentally ill. Look at the amount of physical effort it took to restrain him. I would say he was probably high.
His behavior took away the choices of the officers. He did this to himself.
Others point out that the officers over-reacted, and I’d bet they’ll face reviews and discipline for their actions too. I hope so.
There was one other thing that was playing negatively here, the crowd. They were encouraging the nude guy, and it seemed to me that they could have easily been provoked to swarm the officers. It could have become much uglier.
All in all, this was a nasty situation.

  4. The cops gave him many opportunities to comply. What about the rights of everyone else who does not want to see him naked? Maybe he wants to grocery shop in the nude too. Or hang around in school zones. His actions are more then just a lack of courtesy, they are illegal and show either a lack of common sense or instability. Do you want to watch the rest of the concert or worry that this guy will attack one of your kids? Maybe he will rub against you in the concession lines or perform a little frottage on your date when things get crowded. Oh! And I just best his charisma grows as the temperature goes up and the sweat increases. As a matter of fact, lets get rid of all the cops so we can have more lunatics like this guy acting out. This guy should not be let out without his mother. Those who defend him can blow the crowd after you blow him.

  5. They should have just pulled out a gun and blown him away. This is why every ticket ever sold after this has to have a ‘clothing not optional’ on it. Another sign for a growing senseless population that has to be reminded by those who are there to provide protection that abiding by the law and common courtesy are both important. Every time I go out in public, I always hope I will see another gross obnoxious naked man reminding me of why clothes make the man and nudity can destroy him. Here comes the war!

  6. What a lame ass, “I can do this all day”…that’s what he gets.
all he had to do was cover him self.

  7. first of all u notice one of the cops grab his throat for a split second which is illegal then when the one cop kneed him in the stomach….thats illegal.
So i think the real criminals here are the cops.

  8. They did go a tad over the top with the tazering, That was inhuman
even if they did give him verbal warnings. i personally dont think its right.

  9. Did the author of this post even WATCH the video? I don’t understand how after watching the entire video you can honestly say:
“Could they not have put him in handcuffs and wrapped a blanket around him? Terrible.”
If you had watched the video, you would see the officers tried for several minutes to do this. They tried verbal warnings first. They then tried to force handcuffs on him to which he continued to resist.
ONLY AFTER ALL OTHER MEANS OF HANDCUFFING HIM did they use a tazer.
How about watching the video before forming an opinion on something.

  10. Looks like the taser doesn’t have enough volts. Time to switch to Energizer!!!

  11. shame on anyone defending the cops here. excessive and inhuman. total disgrace

  12. He got what he deserved. He resisted and was given numerous chances to comply. Just because a bunch of whiny young people keep screaming “he didn’t do nothing” or “leave him alone” didn’t make it excessive force. Put on the damn clothes and shut up already!

  13. more people should be naked… whats wrong with everybody? i guess i’ll see this guy a burning man..

I agree. It seems whenever some puss cops don’t want handle a person, they default to tasering. Its out of control. Tasering is a defense to be used when a person is harming others, or about to harm others. And what is so wierd about a naked man anyway…these same babies crying about here would probably go to some european nude beach and be all cool with it. Shed your pilgrim views on the body and grow up.

  15. While I understand that this blog routinely displays sexual content, the comments about the man’s penis size are irrelevant. This has nothing to do with that. He disobeyed a direct order from law enforcement. It’s as simple as that. When the police officers tried to be ‘cool’ and just get the guy to cover up, they gave him a chance that they simply didn’t have to. They tried to be nice, and had he covered up, they would have gone on their way and this whole thing would have been over in the first 5 minutes instead of dragging out like it did. Instead of using force, the police officers used a taser. The taser is non-lethal, so any comments about risking his life are also irrelevant. The taser does nothing but cause involuntary muscle contractions/spasms rendering the victim unable to move. If you notice, after the first tase, the victim kept trying to fight. The police were completely justified in what they did and there was no excessive use of force. In fact, once they finally got him in cuffs, they covered him and one of the officers kept speaking to the man trying to calm him down. This was not about freedom of speech, this was about a man, possibly intoxicated/on drugs, disobeying requests from those that we empower to keep us safe and enforce the law.

  16. Spare us the “excessive force” BS. This guy was in control of whether or not he got tasered. He had plenty of opportunities to comply. He chose to be tasered. I’m so sick of liberals blaming the wrong people for stuff. I consider myself a liberal, but I believe people should take responsibility for their own actions.

  17. While this dipstick certainly got what he deserved (and probably not enough of it), I do feel compelled to point out that whatever the hell he was wearing beforehand was a bit of a crime all on its own.

  18. The naked guy may have been ridiculously annoying and ugly and obnoxious and everything that you hate in the world…but there was no sign of the situation progressing further than it had before the tasing and there was no threat on his person to condone their using a defense weapon, a weapon which is meant primarily for self defense or if the criminal becomes a danger to others…if anything joe public out there was giving him water and asking if he was alright….the officers were out of line, the criminal was a jerkoff, the situation was an annoying ploy for attention and entertainment….but to stipulate that there was valid cause for the officers protection based on what was on this video is forcefully ignorant.

Given that this dude has the smallest penis I have ever seen, I would have thought that it would have been a better punishment to just have let him stay naked and let people look and laugh! What harm was he doing, he’s like a chubby Ken doll!

  20. you guys are idiots. nobody wants to see that nasty shit? what’s nasty in a naked man?
and you think the cops were right? in a country where nipples are considered more dangerous than actual violence… stop and think.
if only I could find the big red button to solve the problem called USA!

  21. I’m sorry, but I don’t care how stupid the guy was.. The cops took it too far. They not only outnumbered him.. but they felt the need to continuously taser him. Sorry.. But I call Piggy on this one.

  22. I agree he had it coming, though I do believe the officers were excessive. The officer with the tazer, did not need to continue shocking the guy on his chest and neck. He was down with the shot to the back… cuff him and end it.

  23. I don’t usually stick up for cops ina situation like this but the cops repeatly tried to cuff him and he made it near impossible. Plus when the tazered him it had little affect. That should tell you something. We don’t know how long the cops dealt with him prior to this video (I suspect a long time) but he was breaking the law and was resisting being handcuffed. SHould they have waited for him to decide to do differently?

  24. The police were 100% right in what they did. The dumb Ass resisted arrested and continued to fight with the police. How many chances did they give him!!! He must have been on some sort of narcotic, because I never seen a guy take a tazer and be able to fight back like that. Your a jackass whom ever posted this video and saying it was excessive force!

  25. Look, unless you’re Gilles Marini, no one wants to see that, got it? He’s a stupid naked pudgy entitled putz, and he got what he asked for.

  26. I just watched this. I feel sorry for those of you who think the guy deserved what he got. Nothing in the world but immediate danger can justify the use of Taser guns. I can’t see anything threatening in what the guy did. He may be an idiot, he may be stubborn all right. But he was no threat and police officers made use of unnecessary violence and put his life at risk. After all there were 3 of them and the guy was naked so they knew he did not carry a gun. If 3 fat police officers cannot hold a naked man down, then they should consider finding themselves other jobs.
I feel sorry for the people around the guy. Sure they scream “the whole world is watching” but not a single one of them does anything other than scream. That proves what our societies are made of : sheep people, cowards thinking they can buy themselves a conscience with words.
They may not be worse than the police, but they sure aren’t any better.
And I also feel very, very sorry for the idiot that made a comment on the guy’s penis size if that’s what shocked him in the video.

  27. What happened to his penis?

  28. he deserved it. you just don’t resist arrest in a public place. and not only did he resist but he tried to flee the situation! running from the cops will not solve your problem.

  29. I do agree with most of the comments here that the cops did the right thing..
Oh and by the way, “My eyes, my eyes!”

I watched the whole thing. The police give him plenty of chances, at one point attempting to cuff him and put his robe on him. That’s where he started to actually get violent and resist.
They pushed him down and – if you watch – he started grabbing at one of the cop’s waist. The cop stood up and checked his holster, to make sure the gun was still strapped.
I don’t find the force excessive at all. Their other alternative was to incapacitate him with physical force – they had tried, and it probably would have gotten damaging to him. He risked his own life engaging in this behavior and resisting the police.
Before anyone starts with “oh, but he was just naked”, remember it’s the police’s job not to make laws, but to enforce them.

  31. I totally disagree. I’m no fan of cops and tasering but they asked him over and over again to put his clothes on.
He was breaking the law the entire time he was naked. Nobody wants to see that nasty shit.
I think the cops, in this rare case, showed remarkable restraint in not taking him down as soon as he refused to comply with their first request.
I have no idea what this “wizard” was on, but the cops did what they had to do. Should the cops have just let him run around naked and inebriated?

  32. well, in the cops difference, he kinda had it coming. He had every chance to get dressed and he resisted arrest.
But on the other hand, the guy was just naked. It wasn’t like he running around naked on PCP destroying things. Seriously the only thing he was guilty of was offending people with his tiny peen, but that’s not really crime now is it?

  33. I’m sorry, but the man is an idiot. It looks like police DID try to handcuff him and he kept putting up a fight. I’m of the school that if you fight the police, you get what is coming to you. Why did he feel such need to display his goods when there doesn’t seem to be anything there anyway? The police never know if they are on drugs or what. Again, he got what he deserved.

  34. The policemen are trying to cover him up because his penis is so small it is so degrading and embarrassing to be displayed in public.

  35. I actually heard the full story on the radio. The cops were telling him for a good 10-15 minutes to put on his clothes because they didn’t want to arrest him or anything. He refused to listen and kept screwing him. So when they were going to arrest him with handcuffs, he started to fight back against them. Then the cops finally tazered him. He put it on himself. If the cops were douchebags, they would’ve tazered him from the getgo. The guy brought it upon himself by trying to fight them for them trying to help them and do their job.
