!! OMG, best live performance ever: Young Whitney !!

By posting this, I in no way mean to take away from the awesomeness of Whitney Houston‘s most recent album “I Look To You,” which I have been listening to on repeat since about September, but wow. This live performance of “Didn’t We Almost Have it All” from Whitney’s heyday should put most performers to shame. Make sure you watch the whole thing to fully witness her genius. (via Hotel Tuesday)
UPDATE: Our reader Seth just sent us another incredible Whitney performance from 1991. Watch her sing “A Song For You” (which is interestingly featured on her new album) after the jump!

  1. She literally gives me the chills. She’s an amazing singer… despite her flaws in her personal life.
Anyhow, you should also check out this fantastic live rendition of “One Moment in Time”:

  2. I too am a huge fan of her new CD (“Call You Tonight,” “Million Dollar Bill,” “Salute,” “A Song For You,” “For The Lovers,” “I Look to You” and “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” are my favorites), but I acknowledge she’ll never perform like THIS again. No one probably will.

  3. truly awe inspiring, she’s a force of nature. that voice is just unreal esp at “a song for you” 4:10 – 4:20.
anyone who ever doubted her talent should watch this because, my goodness, her voice is just an amazing gift, just WOW!!

  4. I LOVE that youa re a Whitney fan…and that you too appreciate the new album, which I think is HOT!

  5. Wow indeed. That was amazing, thanks for sharing!
