!! OMG, how confused: Gregg Araki’s new ‘Kaboom’ !!

Gregg Araki (The Doom Generation, Nowhere, Mysterious Skin) has made a career of directing movies about painfully beautiful boys who are just so full of existential ennui that they… just… can’t… decide… who… to… f*ck! In other words, just my type.

His latest, Kaboom, described on IMDB as “A sci-fi story centered on the sexual awakening of a group of college students.” just premiered at Cannes, and several clips have been released for your perusal.

There’s a bunch of light nudity, so don’t watch at work– the second clip, after the jump, even features blue-eyed heartbreaker Thomas Dekker walking naked down a hallway toward the camera. Enjoy.

Does poor Gregg ( My , what spelling!) , really think his films are interesting ? Or that the scrawny trolls he uses are good looking ?
Yuck….his films are worse than the pretentious boring dreck of “Grand-Mummy ” Kenneth Anger – what a waste of film .

  2. More existential shite from Gregg Araki. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good arthouse film, but this self-indulgent, maudlin, angst-ridden crap makes me want to chuck myself off the nearest cliff.

  3. It’s still weird to see the little boy in the hospital from that Seinfeld episode grown up, let alone naked.

  4. I can really relate to this film. It looks very angst filled, and full of homo/hetero confusion about Sex. Just my kind of film. i’ll be sure to watch it that’s for sure 😀
