!! OMG, meow: Anne Hathaway cast as next Catwoman !!
Waaaaaaay back in the day (read: 2008), Christopher Nolan said he wanted Cher to play Catwoman as "a vamp in her twilight years" for his next Batman movie, then tentatively titled The Caped Crusader. Well, we don't always get what we want, because Cher gave her twilight vamp to Burlesque and the movie's now called The Dark Knight Rises.
Instead of Lady Half Breed, Nolan cast Anne Hathaway to follow in Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer and Julie Newmar's pussy-steps as Catwoman. Also playing opposite Christian Bale will be Inception stand-out Tom Hardy as Bane, the roid-raging muscle villain you might remember as this.
And now that you know what to expect from the third installment of Nolan's Batman series, you get to wait until July 12, 2012 to see it.
