!! OMG, preview the new solo EP from The Gossip's Beth Ditto !!
The Gossip's Beth Ditto is about to release a dance-y four-track solo EP produced by Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford and Jaz Shaw, with whom she previously collaborated on the SMD track "Cruel Intentions". The band has steadily moved further afield from their bluesy punk beginnings toward a more dance floor-friendly sound and judging from the below preview, Ditto's solo stuff is even more minimal and restrained than what we're used to hearing from her -- both musically and vocally.
Deconstruction Records hasn't announced the EP's title, tracklisting or official release date, but it will be available as 12-inch record and a digital download from Beatport sometime in January.
