It’s hard to remember the early days when Facebook only had 50 members. Was there even a poke feature?! With the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell nearing implementation, a new social networking site for gays in the military is now in its infancy. Reuters reported that Out Military currently has 53 users, but membership is expected to increase as DADT becomes obsolete.
The site allows gay service members to be as out or anonymous as they choose and includes pages for events, news and videos. The hottest topic currently being discussed on the site is when and how to come out. And after users find that answer, the biggest question will be: sexy fatigues profile picture or sexy uniform profile picture?
