1) Go to Kinkos.
2) Print this out.
3) Laminate it (because water damage is no one's friend).
4) Whip it out every time some Westboro Baptist Church-esque freak pulls a "well the Bible says..." on you.
5) Continue gayly on your merry way.

You all are stupid.
@taylor jones... So the 10 Commandments are void? You have been schooled. Congrats, you have killed any faith I have had of Christiand being worthwhile group.

I've had more problems come from Christians. You people are idiots. Not all of you, but the vast majority are.

__________

After a feel good 2007, Many came back into our church during the run up to the election in 2008 spewing hateful rhetoric and disgraceful things that I am sure they were hearing from some slightly slanted network news show which I will not divulge here. Many Christians were running around our church saying that God would see to it that the right man (or woman) got the job. When it was announced that our current President won the election My wife and I were elated only to come into church the next Sunday to a funeral of sorts. There was much gnashing of teeth and groveling and moaning and complaining that the wrong man got the job. My wife and I just laughed and said these idiots were the ones saying Jesus said, "Do not worry, do not fear". They were acting like somehow that the American voting system was somehow more POWERFUL than God himself and that the wrong guy got voted in. My ex-pastor told me "See the majority is not always right!". I told him, " But GOD is always right". He told me to hand in the church keys and we were alienated from that good Christian church. After all the lies and twisted sick things our "good" pentecostal and Evangelical Christian "friends" said about us to other congregants, we no longer have to struggle with our "religion". I could go on and on but I am not...maybe later

More people have died in the name of Jesus than for any other reason in the history of the world. If you're talking about death toll, the Christians have the Muslims beat by a long shot.

Stop bringing up Muslims and other religions he wasn't talking about them he was calling out the West Baptist Church.

I would say there is far more evil in this world, in the name of Christianity than there is with Islam. This said - I think it's all wizardry and dumb as bricks.

I'm going to agree with Dee. If the person is knowledgeable about their religion (probably not), this won't prove anything. Maybe if you were debating a Jewish person?

@dee: Jesus said:
"The Scripture cannot be broken."
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."

Correction: schooled again.

can we comment on this thing or not?

Oh Dee, then surely you must obey scripture such as this:

"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But women[a] will be saved[b] through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety."
from
St. Paul's first letter to Timothy 2: 11 - 15

ALSO, surely you must cover your head in church, like a good obedient girl. And always, always, obey men, no matter what, even in bed, even on the street--everywhere, as they are your lords and masters:

"However, what I want you to understand is that Chist is the head of every man, man is the head of woman, and God is the head of Christ. For a man to pray or prophesy with his head covered is a sign of disrespect to his head. For a woman, however, it is a sign of disrespect to her head if she prays or propehsies unveiled; she might as well have her hair shaved off."
from
1 Corinthians, Chapter 11, verses 3-6.

St. Paul goes on further:

"Ask yourselves if it is fitting for a woman to pray to God without a veil: and whether nature itself does not tell you that long hair on a man is nothing to be admired, while a woman, who was given her hair as a covering, thinks long hair her glory?"
from
1 Corinthians , Chapter 11, verses 13-15

So keep you hair covered, you vain temptress of man's virtue. And above all: never talk back. That would be just too democratic, now wouldn't it?

dee: corrected.
