Ok, well, now I've cried. This Irish anti-gay bullying ad was created for BeLonG To Youth Services annual Stand Up! LGBT Awareness Weeks to encourage young people to stand up for their queer friends.

As a straight woman, I say it's about bloody time this message of acceptance went out. Hate is so insidious -- and this kind of bullying engenders self hate, which can be a needless, crippling, lifelong burden. I think this is awesome.
This video is a wonderful example of the peer support gay youth will hopefully find when they are in high school. As a gay man who didn't come out until his late 20s, I truly hope that young gay people are comfortable being who they are. Believe in yourself above all else.
