Congratulations, world! You’ve been busy makin’ babies, and now the UN Population Fund projects that our planet will have seven billion people fighting for their share of oxygen by Halloween. The world’s population reached one billion in 1804, two billion in 1927, three billion in 1959, four billion in 1974, five billion in 1987, aaaaand six billion in 1998. Someone who’s good at math please tell me how many people I’ll have to compete with for an apartment by 2050.
