!! OMG, me too! ‘He Likes Boys’ !!

If only this song had existed when I was in seventh grade, it would have saved my slew of middle school girlfriends a lot of heartache. That’s right. The 12-year-old me was quiiiiiiiite the ladies man. Somehow — despite the fact that I doodled on my notes to them and matched my belt to my shoes — my girlfriends missed the fact that I like boys. Like the guy in this song by eliminated X Factor contestant Simone Battle likes boys. Maybe I should call them all up and set the record…straight.

  1. “I Don’t Mean to be Rude”, but..Simon may have sold Simone down the river in terms of originality & that is why Nicole Scherzinger said, “Well that wasn’t predictable at all…” Did any one watch X-Factor UK & see Cher Lloyd sing Just Be Good To Me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9YQ5-Ffx-8&feature=related Well…Simone was forced to sing the same song

  2. She sounds great, Simon was right again. She is a pop star.

  3. I feel your indignation, Skintino, but this is, after all, manufactured with the intention of being as broad as possible. Not that cheesy pop directed at 13 year-olds can’t be more intelligent and positive, but most of it is usually insultingly stupid or inappropriately sexual (or both) in the first place.
That being said, the manicured nails bit was agony.
In the end it’s a positive depiction of gays in mainstream media, even if it’s cliched.

  4. Stereotypes exist for a reason. If you want to forget about having a sense of humor, be mad at those who embody stereotypes, as they are the cause of such labels to begin with.

  5. Oh cool, another laundry list of gay stereotypes. Thanks popstar of the moment. I almost forgot to be a Desperate Housewife watching materialist so obsessed with my own appearance I forgot to fall into a easily definable compartment in the cleanly split sexual orientation dichotomy. Now I remember my place. nifty.
