In a thankful victory for feminism, NBC decided to cancel The Playboy Club after only three episodes. The reason? Not enough people wanted to subject themselves to Mad Men-spinoff sexism, apparently. Reacting to the news, President of the Dbags, Hugh Hefner tweeted: “I’m sorry NBC’s ‘The Playboy Club’ didn’t find it’s audience. It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience.”

  1. I have to side with Eko on this. There was nothing wrong with this show by any means. It was definitely captivating. I mean HELLO! murder in the first five minutes? As far as NBC helping out feminism, give me a break. I am a woman and I LOVED (yes, in all caps)the show. It was fun, flirty, mysterious, sexy, dramatic, risque…. It’s what women need. And it takes place in early 60’s. You’re an idiot if you take it personal. I hope a network picks it up. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

  2. I have never understood why people say things like this show degrade women and how this is a victory for feminism. Especially when those same women complaining are out watching male strippers and they don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.
