!! OMG, Goldfrapp is releasing a singles comp in 2012 !!
It's been a while since we heard new music from Goldfrapp, but today the British pop duo released the beautiful, breathy slow burner "Yellow Halo." The song is taken from their forthcoming singles comp, simply entitled The Singles, which will span their 10-year, five-album career and comprise 14 tracks including two new ones - "Yellow Halo" and "Melancholy Sky." It's due out Feb. 6th via Mute.
Singer Alison Goldfrapp's girlfriend Lisa Gunning (who is also a film editor) created the "Yellow Halo" music video using iPhone footage shot during a trip to South America. Check out the vid and The Singles track listing below:
