!! OMG, the irony: Elizabeth Taylor on celebrity culture !!
For anyone who watched "Liz & Dick" last night, I think it's worth noting what the late, great Elizabeth Taylor said in a 2011 interview for Harper's Bazaar about the effect of a celebrity-obsessed culture, such as the one we find ourselves in now with Lindsay Lohan, of all people, portraying this truly iconic film star...
"...sometimes I think we know too much about our idols and that spoils the dream."
Amen.
