!! OMG, so arty: R.E.M.'s James Franco-directed "Blue" video !!
Two of today's most overexposed, somewhat gay interest celebrities have joined forces in the music video for R.E.M.'s "Blue."
Directed by James Franco and co-starring (who else?) James Franco and Lindsay Lohan (duh), the video takes viewers on a leisurely but rather dull visual journey through the dispassionate facade of Los Angeles glamor. (Can I Get A Pull Quote!) Celebrity factor aside, the Collapse Into Now cut is pretty fantastic, in large part due to a lovely vocal performance from Patti Smith.
