Just as the pink pastel unicorn in ‘Charlie The Unicorn’ described Candy Mountain, Pip & Pop’s sugary landscapes are full “of sweets and joy and joyness”
Tanya Schultz -aka ‘Pip & Pop’- collaborated with fantasmical fashion design duo ‘Romance Was Born’ on their Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled ‘Mushroom Magic’ showcased at Australian Fashion Week, not only constructing a pastel sugar landscape on the runway, but RWB incorperated digital print versions of ‘Pip & Pop’s creations into the final garments that hiked through Tanya’s sweetie gorging canyon.
Tanya spoke to DAZED following the show, about her childhood influences, her varied mediums and the sugar rush of working on the AFW presentation:
“I want to transport the audience to another place or time.”
