Dangerous Minds shared these amazing gay pulp paperback covers from the early 1970s — a time when terms like “homosexual panic” where still floating around.
Some of the questions they posed are still very relevant today, like: “How long does it take to make a straight guy gay?” Of course, now we know that it’s not so much a matter of time, as it is the number of beers he consumes. Thanks, SCIENCE! Check out the rest of the covers after the jump!

Hot damn if I don’t remember a couple of those titles and a host of others published under that imprint and that of several others from as early as the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s that my father had stashed away amidst the household collection of print pornography which occupied several shelves of a bookcase in the back hallway of our home in Point Claire.
For whatever reason he never had any of the pulp published by Blue Boy … those I had to discover for myself when they opened their bookshop on Yonge Street just above Dundonald Street in Toronto back when I was living on Wood Street in the heart of the gay village of the early 1970’s.
