TV On The Radio‘s Dave Sitek is set to produce Kelis‘ upcoming album, Food which will be released this time — not by Interscope Records — but by a label not many would expect: Ninja Tune!
The Ninja Tune label is known for their electronic artists and left-field rappers, rather than larger mainstream artists like Kelis.
Nowadays, it is so easy for even bigger artists to get lost in the shuffle at their big labels. I bet the folks at Ninja Tune are stoked to have Kelis, and’ll likely treat her like royalty!
