Are those Gothic wedding bells we hear?! BRIDES OF DRACULA, a “hot gothic soap drama” that centers on Dracula’s three vampire brides, is in pre-production, and on its way! The story centers around a group of women, who survived their encounter with Van Helsing centuries ago and are now residing in modern day New York City.
The project is written by the same guy who did the recent Carrie remake and the remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown, screenwriter Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Greg Berlanti, who has also been behind recent DC Comics television properties like ARROW and THE FLASH. The show will be:
A sexy reimagining of Dracula as a family drama with a trio of strong, diverse female leads, a show about empowered women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their non-traditional family.
Can it be set in the 80’s? That would make it that much hotter! Big hair, shoulder pads etc.! Will you be watching if this makes it to TV?
