“We have a female prime minister here in the UK. I actually really like her and think she’s wonderful. I think it’s the best thing that’s happened to us in a long time. She’s a very intelligent woman but I don’t see much to fear. I will say it is great to have a woman in charge of the country. She’s very sensible and I think that’s a good thing at this point in time.”

– Singer and icon, Kate Bush, on her support of pro-Brexit and anti-immigrant UK PM Theresa May.

  2. Has Kate Bush lost her mind or perhaps have you failed to understand the difference between US conservatives and UK conservatives? Beyond that, to describe Theresa May as “pro-Brexit” is to wildly misunderstand the entire debate.

  3. Is Theresa May pro-Brexit, though? And just because Kate thinks she’s sensible and likes her, that’s not to say she agrees with everything May thinks and says. Stop holding people on pedestals and expecting them to bend to your beliefs.

There’s more nuance to politics in culture than just “this celebrity we like is crazy because they like someone we don’t”. But then again, how could I expect anything other than that from this mean-spirited, stereotypical blog? Nobody has reason to come on here for anything other than nudity.

  4. Oh dears…not every gay on this planet is a leftist. Please stop.
