!! OMG, she’s having a melt-down: HK119’s ‘Iceberg’ !!

Looking like Artemis Bell in a pair of mime gloves, Finnish performance artist Heidi Kilpeläinen embodies the iceberg she sings about: like the iceberg she’s big, she’s scary, and she would kill a boat full of people in the middle of the night if you accidentally bumped into her ass on the dancefloor.

“Im a little iceberg, floating towards you”

_I have to say Heidi you are so scaring me right now with your CARDBOARD CUTOUT WHITE-EMMENTAL-CHEESE-SLICE-CROWN
I can’t tell whether she’s just getting tired of prancercising at 4.00 or if she’s actually having a full on middle-aged melt-down. Go buy her album before she looses it !

!! OMG, colouring [look-] book: Christian Grib in ‘Ethnicolour’ !!

__ethnicolor_fy_2.jpg
Daniel Rodrigues’ editorial ‘Ethnicolour’ brings to mind a multicoloured multitude of 80s icons:
Woolen Devo, amber-orange Leigh Bowery [& makeup], a neonised Laurie Anderson’s ‘Big Science’.
You can catch the WOOLEN WUNDERWEARS by Rebel Yuths after the jump where you can also seek the CABLEKNIT SNUGGIE and a Bugs Bunny carrot prop plus b-ball boots a la SpaceJam ’96.

!! OMG, “tearing down that bitch of a bearing wall”: Emma Finn’s ‘For Everything to Go Exactly as Planned’ !!

ECA artist Emma Finn used to study Psych and then worked in mental health, which is obvious as her artwork is flipping off-it’s-nutty-rocker!

“I’m drawn to film because it is a curious place regarding dimensions. It’s sometimes referred to as the ‘fourth dimension’ because it contains time but it often appears to us on a flat 2D plane, on a screen.”

In her above video piece entitled ‘For Everything to Go Exactly as Planned’, what appears to be an on-site planning meeting takes place between three workers, as narrated by a pendulating wrecking ball.
Much discussion and gesturing ensues as the executives look to make a difficult consensus which would have been a lot quicker had Alaska been there, because she “takes her job very seriously [and] by God there better not be any bullshit”!

!! OMG, oily skin treatment: The Vein’s ‘Magma’ !!

Oh gees, I’d only just forgotten The Nome King from ‘Return to Oz’ had ever happened to my eyes and only through years of rearing different breeds of ROCK-PETS had I started to trust sedimentary formations with faces, and now this horror flick turns up in my inbox.
The Vein’s new video explores oily magmarbling on a scale of fissured facial snow-scapes and meandering icy river routes.
I’m just hoping the next video doesn’t explore The Wheelers!

!! OMG, that’s knot knitwear: Philli Wood’s Westminster BA ’13 collection !!

Dezeen_Philli_Wood_at_Westminster_Fashion_2013_1.jpg
Philli Wood’s BA collection plays with flat cable knit print on neon peachy and pinky sporting nylons, with the silhouettes oversized down to the way-thicker-than-is-practical rubber tie-strings…I can just imagine trying to synch these garments in at the waist you would need all number of burly seafarers to tandem yank the rubber drawstrings…”and HAAAAUL and HAAAAUL”, some guy beating a drum to keep them in time!
The colours, layering and VOLUMINOUS EXTREMES are so fun with this collection, including a winged-chiffon breazy top [after the jump] blown up to hang down to the knee and make the model look like one of those PEACHY BEACHY DANCING BABY STINGRAY!
