!! OMG, he’s helping humanity: Roman Rimer !!

Performance artist Roman Rimer is taking his one person show “Evolution” on the road this summer but needs a little help to provide sliding scale tickets for the audience.

Evolution is a solo show based on true experiences as Roman Rimer traveled through the Southern United States with the non-profit Sanctuary Collective to do community organizing with LGBTQ Youth in Christian Communities. Themes of Evolution include spirituality, identity, fear and how they all intersect and affect everyone. Roman also takes off his shirt and runs around!

Watch the video and please consider picthing in a bit (minimum contribution is $1) at Roman’s Kickstarter page here. There are some awesome rewards and this project can really help instigate change in communities where LGBTQ people are having a hard time.

!! OMG, he can work the crowd: The Amazing Christopher !!

The Amazing Christopher has been performing his fabulous musical life-size puppet acts since 1986. This particular performance of the Village People classic “YMCA” is from an old Comedy Awards show and it’s interesting to see how young the celebrities in the audience look. Bill Maher and Margaret Cho are both quite fetching!
After the jump, watch Christopher perform his Michael Jackson routine.

!! OMG, watch an intriguing new Austra video: ‘Lose It’ !!

The perplexing new video for the second single off Austra‘s forthcoming debut LP Feel It Break is now available on the Internet for our collective viewing pleasure. Directed by the dashing M Blash, “Lose It” finds the spine-tingly synth-pop players weathering a series of mundane yet ominous occurrences in a surreal domestic tableau. (If that description wasn’t in the video treatment, I’d like to know what was.)
Feel It Break and “Lose It” are both out on May 17 via Domino Records. Check out Austra’s forthcoming tour dates after the jump!
