Turns out Madonna‘s legion of scantily clad Roman soldiers at the Super Bowl halftime show were sporting black Calvin Klein undies — making the look all the easier to replicate come Halloween. I’ll play Madonna in custom Givenchy and you all can be my Calvin Klein slaves. Who’s with me?

!! OMG, R.I.P. designer Eiko Ishioka !!


The innovative Japanese art director Eiko Ishioka has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer, according to The New York Times. She was 73. Even if you weren’t familiar with her otherworldly body of work, you no doubt came across it. She created memorable costumes for feature films such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula and The Cell, Broadway productions M. Butterfly and Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, and collaborated with musicians Björk and Grace Jones.
She also made forays into the world of advertising, most famously for Japanese retailer Parco for whom she created an ad in which actress Faye Dunaway silently peels and eats a hard-boiled egg. Watch that above and check out “Cocoon,” her 2002 music video for Björk, below.

!! OMG, he knows how to work his angles: Pedro Almodóvar for Missoni !!

Being that Missoni’s spring collection leaned heavily on Spanish influences, it should come as little surprise that famed Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar stars in the brand’s latest campaign — but it still does. Turns out the director is close friends with creative director Angela Missoni, who also appears in the series of ads with her daughter, Margherita, and a gaggle of models. No word on whether or not Almodóvar was one of the lucky few to snatch up Missoni’s coveted Target line — but probably not.

Being the deviant culture-pusher that it is, VICE Magazine recently featured a fashion spread called “Bros Blowin’ Shotties,” which depicts decked-out models in an act of herbal camaraderie. And with all the mouth-to-mouth proximity, the editorial is even a touch homoerotic. Follow the jump to see more photos.
