For those of us that are particularly concerned with the fit of jeans over our rumps, Los Angeles shop American Rag has installed “booty cams” in its dressing rooms for shoppers to better see their backsides. “They have to be like, ‘Oh my God this jean looks amazing on my butt,” said American Rag buyer Jennifer Althouse, according to the NY Daily News. “I haven’t seen anyone come out sobbing, but some were definitely devastated, because some jeans don’t look great on some butts.” I don’t even want to imagine the other possibilities for this “booty cam”…

Hermoine Granger, are you in there? Emma Watson‘s July Vogue cover leaked this morning, prompting the magazine to release Emma’s spread online earlier than planned. Although you’d be hard pressed to get the Voguers to admit today was anything other than the scheduled debut. Either way, that witch looks fiiiiiierce.

!! OMG, supar tool: Old Navy !!

This just pisses me off. I know, I know — Old Navy thinks it’s being hilarious by making fun of high fashion advertisements, and, yes, sometimes they can be ridiculous. But the tagline “Dress like a guy” gets my blood boiling. Really, Old Navy? There’s one way to clothe yourself as a man? If that means cheap cargo shorts, then I don’t want to be a guy.

!! OMG, and the winners are: CFDA Awards !!

cfda68.jpg
Last night, fashion editors, icons and designers turned out to New York’s Lincoln Center to honor…fashion editors, icons and designers. Lady Gaga received the Fashion Icon Award, while Marc Jacobs was honored with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler won Womenswear Designer of the Year, while Menswear Designer of the Year went to Michael Bastian and Accessory Designer of the Year went to Alexander Wang. The only non-fashiony person in the room was the ceremony’s host, Anderson Cooper. Well, maybe he’s a half-fashiony person since his mom designed jeans in the ’70s.
