!! OMG, LISTEN TO THIS: Listen to the score from Tom Ford’s NOCTURNAL ANIMALS for free !!

nocturnal-animals-1

If you’re like us, you’re probably feeling like hermits or nocturnal animals yourselves today, wanting to crawl into a dark hole and stay there for, oh say, around 4 years! Well whether you decide to embrace the day in protest or not today – Tom Ford‘s new film NOCTURNAL ANIMALS starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal just dropped his beautiful new score for the thriller and you can Spotify the shit out of it below!

In an interview with Where To Watch, the composer Abel Korzeniowski spoke about his approach to fashioning the score. “‘Nocturnal Animals’ is a slightly larger score in terms of orchestration,” he explained. “We recorded in London with their session players, and the orchestral forces were stronger, but there’s some electronic elements.”

“But, it’s not a long score because this movie didn’t really call for wall-to-wall music,” he added. “It’s only in crucial places, but when it comes in you can really hear it and you’re aware of it. It’s a really carefully balanced and chosen amount, contrasting with the gritty, raw character in the second part of the film, which is almost without music.”

Korzeniowski’s previous credits include Showtime’s “Penny Dreadful,” the 2013 film “Romeo & Juliet” starring Hailee Steinfeld, and the thriller “Ziarno prawdy.” His music has also been used for a slew of fashion shows including Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera and Tom Ford.

Nocturnal Animals will be released in select cities on November 18 and arrive in theaters nationwide on December 9.

!! OMG, a contest: ‘Carrie’ two-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray !!

carrie-box-art

Enter now for your chance to win the 40th Anniversary 2-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of Carrie!

In 1976, Carrie, the “absolutely spellbinding horror movie” (Roger Ebert) directed by Brian DePalma (Scarface, The Untouchables, Dressed to Kill) and based on the best-selling Stephen King novel, premiered in theaters, forever changing the landscape of horror films, and launching much of its outstanding cast into stardom.

At the center of the film’s terror is Carrie (Sissy Spacek), a high school loner with no confidence, no friends… and no idea about the extent of her secret powers of telekinesis. But when her psychotic mother and sadistic classmates finally go too far, the once-shy teen becomes an unrestrained, vengeance-seeking powerhouse who, with the help of her ‘special gift,’ causes all hell to break loose in a famed cinematic frenzy of blood, fire and brimstone.

Over the last 40 years the ultimate revenge fantasy has become one of the all-time great horror classics, and Carrie is now, finally, offered as a definitive, two-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. Special features on the two-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray include a brand new 4K scan of the film and nearly 3 hours of bonus material!

Available NOW from Scream Factory.
