!! OMG, you’re Ghana wanna take a look at these! The lost art of Ghana’s f*cked up movie posters !!

I’m not sure who the 4th grader is that Ghana hired to do all of their versions of big Hollywood film posters, but whoever it is — they defo deserve an ice cream treat from the MacDonald’s drive-through on the way home!
The Planet Terror one above is my favourite. If Rose McGowan‘s character in the film had instead been played by Tan Mom while passing gas after she just finished eating some juicy watermelon, the artist would have just really NAILED IT! Check out some more after the jump!

!! OMG, “Say No To Slo-Mo!”: DREDD 3D to return for a sequel? !!

If you loved the tripped out 3D, “Slo-Mo” drug sequences in the DREDD 3D like so many others did, you might be in for a treat! According to none other than Judge Dredd himself, Karl Urban (not a country singer), there still may be hope for DREDD 2!:

Appearing at a Star Trek convention in Frankfurt, Urban said “conversations are taking place between the studio, the director and writer Alex Garland.” Evidently the film’s performance on DVD has been noticed by the studio…

I thought for how “little” they spent on on DREDD to pass it as a big budget feature, that it did a great job. The 3D was pretty good — BUT what I really wanna know is will Ma-Ma return?

DREDD just wouldn’t be the same without Ma-Ma! I’m thinking for the sequel they could get to the bottom of why Ma-Ma is so LOCO in the first place. What made her so BAD??? Was it the yoga class she missed? The orange slices she forgot in the mini-van for her kids’ soccer practice? The pink thistle they left out of her kale smoothie? Really, it could have been anything that unhinged her, and gave her that practical, get-up-n-go, hot mom flip-bob haircut!

!! OMG, grab the tin foil: “Liquid Sky 2” is about to invade planet Earth !!

Liquid Sky was the touching tale of an invisible UFO in search of some heroin that came across a New York City apartment in the 1980’s, and decided to toy with a New Wave drug dealer and her androgynous fashion model lover. Well, it looks as if the cult film is about to see some new life with a sequel!
Director Slava Tsukerman says that actress Anne Carlisle will reprise her role as “Margaret/Jimmy”, who gave us such pure feminist poetry as:

So I was taught that I should come to New York, become an independent woman. And my prince would come, and he would be an agent, and he would get me a role, and I would make my living waiting on tables. I would wait – till thirty, till forty, till fifty. And I was taught that to be an actress, one should be fashionable, and to be fashionable is to be androgynous. And I am androgynous not less than David Bowie himself. And they call me beautiful, and I kill with my cunt.

Aw! That’s really about the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard! But where will the film be headed after we last saw Margaret? And will she still live in New York? According to Tsukerman:

I can tell you it’s about Margaret coming back from outer space today, and what’s happening here. I had a lot of suggestions to shoot it elsewhere because it’d be much cheaper, but I think for most audiences around the world, it’s a quintessential New York story. So it would be wrong to move it out of New York. But in doing research for the subject, I discovered that the most outrageous nightlife moved from New York, it’s not in New York anymore. Where is it now? Places you’d expect least of all, like Germany and the Czech Republic. I think every year in Leipzig they have thousands of people in make-up and all that, for a big event.

We think it’d be wise for Margaret to move on from New York City considering the changes in nightlife since the 1980’s — Berlin would be a better choice! But what we really wanna know is WHERE WILL ADRIAN BE? Gurl bettah dust off that old rhythm box and haul her crazy ass back on that stage! We need an ENCORE!

!! OMG, like sands through the hourglass: Trailer for ‘Jodorowsky’s Dune’ gives a glimpse of the TRIP of a movie that never came to be !!

Frank Pavich‘s new documentary “Jodorowsky’s Dune” gives us an incredible inside look into what might have been had Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky (The Holy Mountain) actually gone through with making Dune! (His version was never made due to being too expensive. Go figure!)
Jodorowsky describes his vision for the film, saying he wanted:

“a film that gives LSD hallucinations — without taking LSD … to change the young minds of all the world.”

Check out the trailer above! The film is set to hit the U.S. March 7th.
