!! OMG, meet the newest player in the ‘Hunger Games’: Sam Claflin !!

Sam-Claflin.jpg
Sam Claflin appears to have beaten better-known Hollywood names — including Twilight’s Robert Pattinson — for the part of Finnick Odair in Lionsgate’s part-two-of-four book adaptation, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” You’ll likely recognize the British actor from his longer-haired role opposite Kristen Stewart (OMG, is Claflin the new Robert Pattinson??) in “Snow White and the Huntsmen,” but you’ll certainly see more of him in Finnick’s scantily covered costumes.

!! OMG, adorable: Tyra Sanchez as ‘Drag Dad’ !!

It’s like Will Smith‘s father-son flick, “The Pursuit of Happyness,” only in lipstick and a bigger wig. Tyra Sanchez — the second winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race — is the star of a new documentary by Björn Flóki about the challenges and rewards of being a drag dad. (One of film’s lesser-told stories, to be sure.) The trailer looks sup-ah cute, so if you’d like to help “the other Tyra” and Flóki with their project, check out the movie’s Kickstarter page.

!! OMG, first look: Henry Cavill is the ‘Man of Steel’ !!

o-MAN-OF-STEEL-POSTER-570.jpg
There’s one reason to be excited about yet another Superman movie and his name is Henry Cavill. The first poster for “Man of Steel,” showing Cavill in a rebooted red-and-blue costume, made its debut at Comic-Con last weekend, where fans were also treated to a new teaser trailer. But let’s just hope Cavill makes a better Clark Kent than he did Theseus in 2011’s “Immortals.” Cause, yeah, I Netflixed that “movie” the other night, and not even Cavill’s chiseled pecs won me over.

!! OMG, crazy, this is: ‘Star Wars’ does ‘Call Me Maybe’ !!

You know that expression — which really is just a cliche at this point — about how someone must have too much time on their hands if… well, it’s never been more true than with this spliced “Star Wars” version of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe.” If you can get through the full three minutes, I commend you, but it’s worth a watch if only because of how long it must have taken to put together.

!! OMG, trailer: ‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ !!

Because we can’t seem to stop revisiting our girl Dorothy’s land of Oz, Disney takes us inside the story of the man behind the curtain with “Oz: The Great and Powerful” starring James Franco as the wizard. The film also features Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams as the polarizing witches of the West and North (an interesting casting spin on that Kristin Chenoweth/Idina Menzel duo), as well as Mila Kunis and Zach Braff. A strong cast to say the least — so hopefully this version will nail it.
