!! OMG, move over Marina: Remember when The Joker was a Contemporary Artist? !!

joker-batman-art.gif
Lately, it seems that every face in the music game has been trying to break into the art world by collaborating with artist Marina Abramović, and every Marina Abramović in the art game has been trying to collaborate with… well, you get the point.
But before our Serbian art guru was punking popstars & hip-hop bitches by selling them her presence, before Banksy was evading cops around the world, and before Rothkos were being defaced in broad-daylight, there was someone else who was bringing the jokes. It was THE JOKER.
47 years ago, “Pop Goes The Joker,” aired on the original Batman series starring Adam West and Cesar Romero, and the similarities between some of the shit going down today are uncanny! From HyperAlleric:

The episode depicts Gotham’s “art world” and opens with a scene in which the Joker enters a rather proper art gallery and sprays paint all over a series of priceless works, which are later praised as an act of artistic genius (which only goes to show even Yellowism is not original).
Afterwards, the Joker enters an art contest and is pitted against artists with somewhat familiar names, including Pablo Pincus, Jackson Potluck, Leonardo Davinski, and Vincent van Goache. After winning the contest by applying a single dot of purple paint onto a canvas the Joker decides to open up an art academy of his own to teach his students “the secrets of Modern art.” This is of course a plot, it is The Joker after all, in which one of Batman’s archenemies only accepts extremely wealthy citizens as his students in hopes to gain access to their money.

The Joker also brought the grade-A art snobbery with some fine quotes like:

“This is an outrage, an outrage against art, an insult I say!”
“Look at that, you call that art?”
“…these uncultured boobs have no appreciation for fine art.”
“We artists are not required to be nice, but only talented!”
“Handle them carefully boys, there’s ten million under those blankets.”

!! OMG, I’ll trade you some patchouli for Ciroc: Diddy does Burning Man !!

article-2412511-1BA209E3000005DC-193_634x743.jpg
Remember that video where Puff and Ma$e drive through the desert? Do you think Puff ever thought he’d be back there one day with a pink parasol and an asian feather-fan, and one glowstick, tripping his balls off to psy-trance?
Diddy did Burning Man this year and a bunch of peeps snapped instagrams and photos of him at the festival (see them after the JUMP). Here he tweets:

You know who I’d love to see do Burning Man from the Bad Boy family? Lil Kim! She’d be fun. She was wearing aviator goggles and purple fun-fur over her breasts long before all these bitches.
Who from the Bad Boy family would you like to see do Burning Man next year? Faith Evans? Total? Danity Kane? The Lox? Do you think it would be fun to trip Diddy out with a surprise Biggie hologram in the middle of the desert? Do you think Biggie‘s hologram would approve if he saw Puff?
See the rest of Diddy givn’r on “the playa” after the JUMP:

!! OMG, public schools are so povo and random: Chris Lilley returns with first teaser for ‘Ja’mie: Private School Girl’ !!

tumblr_mstuly8wf21qdojzho1_500.gif
I think one of my all-time favourite comedy series would have to be Chris Lilley‘s Summer Heights High. It’s dark sense of humour, along with the genius of Lilley playing 3 entirely different distinctive characters really won me over. His follow-up, Angry Boys, had it’s moments (Gran in particular), but I still longed for the return of SHH‘s familiar faces.
I assume I wasn’t the only person who felt that way, and it looks like Chris has decided that his next project will be based around Hilford’s hottest bitch, and Mischa Barton lookalike, Ja’mie King! The series will be titles Ja’mie: Private School Girl will “follow Ja’mie in her final few weeks at Hillford Girls Grammar School after leaving Summer Heights High.”
A quote from Lilley, himself on the series:

I find teenage girls endlessly funny. So being able to write for and play the meanest bitch in school has been so fun. I can’t wait to show everyone what Ja’mie’s been up to.

But why the move back to Hilford after she had such success over at Summer Heights High? One can only speculate — but I think Ja’mie truly put it best when she said:

People always go “Private schools create better citizens,” but I would say they create better quality citizens. Studies have shown that students from private schools are more likely to get into Uni and end up making a lot more money; while wife-beaters and rapists are nearly all public-school educated. Sorry, no offense, but it’s true.”

!! OMG, this girl is on FIRE!: Girl catches fire while making twerking video !!

Sometimes humans get carried away. They get really into something, and it’s too much! That’s when God intervenes. When every girl from my highschool girls volleyball team is getting into “Twerking” you begin to understand it’s one of those moments!
Check out an unfortunate twerking accident above! Let this be a lesson! LuluLemon is not flame resistant! (I assume this girl is fine, considering she had the time and vanity to then upload her mishap to Youtube.)
I think this commenter said it best:
