!! OMG, Matthew Mitcham is DEFINED !!

matt2.jpg

Olympian Matthew Mitcham now has his own entry on Urban Dictionary:

The only openly gay male to participate at the Beijing Olympics, he won gold at the Men’s 10m Platform diving. He ruined China’s hopes of going 8 for 8. He fills a Speedo quite beautifully, and is possibly the sexiest man on earth. He’s Australian, by the way.

Matthew Mitcham is the sexiest diver, ever.

You don’t have to ask me twice. OutTraveler.com is handing out a free five-night stay at the Coconut Waikiki in Hawaii. I said Hawaii, boy. Lucky for you, there are multiple ways to enter the contest:
1) Sign up for OutTraveler Compass, a bi-weekly newsletter.
2) Comment on OutTravler’s site about what you look forward to most about Hawaii. Or if you’ve been, leave a travel tip.
3) Follow the OutTraveler Twitter feed and tweet the story, adding the following hashtags and info: “@OutTraveler #win #gay #Hawaii”
Easy right? See you on the beach.

!! OMG, how booky: ‘It Gets Better’ in print !!

itgetsbetter2.jpg

After nearly 10,000 video submissions and 30 million views worldwide, the creators of the It Gets Better project have compiled some of its stories into a forthcoming book. The publishers say, “The book is a collection of stories from many people you recognize and some people you don’t, but each and every story will touch you, move you and encourage you to do better for LGBT youth.”
So we can likely expect to see submissions from YouTube favorites Chris Colfer, Ellen, Tim Gunn and Jake Shears — that is, if they want me to buy it. Dan Savage promises to donate his earnings from the book to support LGBT youth and more than 100 of the essay authors have contributed their stories free of charge. Which makes you wonder, who charged?
