!! OMG, Could Have Fooled Me: Carl Paladino swears he’s not homophobic !!

Republican lunatic Tea Party candidate for Governor of New York (don’t worry, he won’t win!) would like to wish you a happy Coming Out Day by reminding you that he is not “a homophobic!” He just wants to puke when he thinks about gays, especially them all grinding up on each other in “these little Speedos.” Wait, is he trying to come out, here? It’s so hard to tell these days!
This was supposedly his apology for the remarks he made yesterday, when he told a group of Orthodox Rabbis in Brooklyn “I just think my children, and your children, will be much better off, and much more successful getting married and raising a family. And I don’t want them to be brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid or successful option. It isn’t.”
See you at the Gay Pride parade, Carl. I’ll be looking for you in a little Speedo!

!! OMG, How Zzzzz’s: The A-List premiere !!

Hey, did you watch The A-List last night? I didn’t! It wasn’t a moral decision or anything, I just forgot it was on. Funny how the Discovery Channel PR people e-mail me constantly about the latest Kate Plus Eight antics and yet I haven’t heard anything from the Logo people about The A-List, a show I’m actually kind of interested in. (“Interested” is of course code for horrified by, but still!)
Anyway, although I missed the actual episode, I did watch this brief recap, and if this is the best they can do I’ll be sticking with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, thanks. This show seems to replace the fighting, malaprops and weave warfare that we know and love from the Housewives franchise with bland pec-jiggling. Who cares?!
For those of you who want to watch the full episode, it’s streaming in its entirety on the Logo website right now. I’ll watch it later, but in the meantime, please report back!

!! OMG, She Can Dance: Margaret Cho !!

Already a comedienne, author, actress and rapper, Margaret Cho is now proving herself to be a quintuple threat on Dancing With the Stars, on which she face off every week against, among others, America’s favorite abstinent teen mommy, Bristol Palin. This week Cho, long an outspoken gay advocate, threw on a fringe-y rainbow frock and samba’d her socks off to “promote pride” and to remind gay teenagers to “have pride no matter who criticicizes you.”
While the judges seemed underwhelmed my Cho’s performance, we here at OMG Blog salute her!
