!! OMG, quote of the day: Recently out bisexual Bella Thorne talks discrimination in the industry, her female celebrity crushes !!

Actress Bella Thorne recently came out as bisexual publicly, and says that it’s already began to meddle in her work with Hollywood!

“It is hard in this business for us. It really is. I have already had people talk shit to me. And it comes from people in the industry, not even fans. I’ve had studios tell me my image is too “out there,” hinting at it but not really saying it.”

Though, that won’t get the actress down! She’s still working like crazy and when asked about who in Hollywood she finds sexy – it’s Demi Lovato!

“I must say…rawrrrr. She is a pretty toasty woman. Miley Cyrus, too. She’s dope. But Demi is fire, just fire.”

According to Autostraddle and their sources, the pair have been spending alot of time together, and Abbi has been hanging out with Carrie‘s dogs – we all know what THAT means. OH LAWD – maybe it’s just speculation at this point, but this would make us very happy! Thoughts?

!! OMG, WATCH: Mykki Blanco performs Zoe Leonard’s 1992 poem ‘I Want A Dyke For President’ !!

The lyrics to this poem are as important today as they were 24 years ago when American artist Zoe Leonard originally released I Want A Dyke For President. Rapper Mykki Blanco, a black, gender-bending rapper who recently announced that she was HIV positive, and was also arrested in Portugal for ‘being gay’ last year, definitely would know a thing or two about being discriminated against and wanting your world leaders to walk a mile in your shoes someday… Check out DAZED‘s remarkable new video above!

!! OMG, the real ‘Feminist Bookstore’ of Portlandia fame now refuses to let them shoot there !!

In Other Words, the real feminist bookstore in which the skit is shot released a public letter from the staff last week denouncing their support for the show, citing the following reasons, among others [via ontd]:

loss of money due to shutting down the store (& neighboring businesses) for filming; Portlandia staff would trash the space & leave it a mess; contributing to the gentrification of Portland/displacement of communities of color; making light of (trans)misogyny; staff of Portlandia requested the BLACK LIVES MATTER painting removed from window, which the bookstore refused!!!

Oh snap! It’s too bad the show couldn’t find some common ground with the store or hear their concerns. Hopefully they sort it out! Check out some of their finest moments after the jump.
