!! OMG, dykes on dicks: What Lesbians Think About Penises !!

OK, first off, shouldn’t somebody arrest the lady with the perm who says “I’ve got three myself, in my drawer”? She’s ONE OF THOSE LESBIANS, the type that hates men so much she steals their members and hides them in her bedside table drawer labelled “who rules the world?”!
I couldn’t agree more with the be-speckled lesbos who when asked to describe penises in one word settles on “bouyant?!…squishy-stick!”…she’s got it!
I’d say that’s about right. Ask the plaid-perm lesbian, she’ll tell you that her dick-drawer is getting SQUISHIER AND SQUISHIER the longer she leaves them there!

!! OMG, Father of the Brides: Chanel’s haute couture lesbians !!

chanel_1358879035794.cached.jpg
On Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the president’s call for equality, Karl Lagerfeld sent models Lindsey Wixon and Cara Delevigne Kati Nescher and Ashleigh Good [along with his godson Francois Hollande] down Chanel’s PFW Runway in matching wedding gowns.
It is traditional for Couturiers to complete their show by sending a wedding gown down the catwalk, so Lagerfeld’s gesture was an obvious nod towards marriage equality at a time of large Catholic protests calling for a referendum on the same-sex marriage bill that the French government has promised to its citizens.
When asked about such contention, Lagerfeld suggested:

“People who consider marriage a sacred religious union can continue that tradition in their churches, temples, synagogues and mosques, but all religions should tolerate gay marriage.”

community-action-center-still-02.jpg
Artists A.K. Burns and A.L. Steiner have created a collaborative film project called Community Action Center that features the work and stories of many talented artists, musicians, and other members of various queer communities.
Burns and Steiner are currently raising funds to compensate their contributors and tour the work across the U.S. We hope you will consider helping them out! They are halfway to their fundraising goal, which must be reached by December 21.

Community Action Center has already been screened internationally at venues such as Toronto’s Pleasure Dome and London’s Tate Modern. Here is more about the project:

A.K. Burns and A.L. Steiner’s Community Action Center is a 69-minute sociosexual video incorporating the erotics of a community where the personal is not only political, but sexual. This project is a unique contemporary composition, an archive of an intergenerational community built on collaboration, friendship, sex and art. Burns and Steiner worked with artists and performers who created infinitely complex gender and performance roles that are both real and fantastical, set to a soundtrack of music by Chicks on Speed, Effi Briest, Electrelane, Chateau featuring K8 Hardy, Lesbians on Ecstasy, Light Asylum, MEN, Motherland, NGUZUNGUZU, I.U.D. (Lizzi Bougatsos & Sadie Laska), Kinski and Thee Majesty (Genesis P-Orridge), and featuring original compositions by Justin Bond, Nick Hallett & Sam Greenleaf Miller, Ashland Mines & Wu Tsang, Sergei Tcherepnin and Tri-State Area with AV Linton.

!! OMG, how Roy Orbison: the new k.d. lang album !!

If you live in Canada and you’ve listened to public radio in recent years then k.d. lang‘s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is your alternate national anthem. I know it’s a beautiful song and I know our master of erotic despair needs the royalties and all but SO OVER IT. In fact, I’m so numb to the song now that every time I hear anyone covering it I want to kick a puppy. Dear CBC: I am no longer crying into my breakfast cereal. Can I get an AMEN?
Thankfully, the nation can finally move on because k.d. lang has a new album called Sing It Loud and it’s full of Roy Orbison country swagger. Moreover, the video for its gorgeous lead single “I Confess” is set in a Hollywood strip club frequented by hot young lesbians prone to sexy sud fights. Long-time fans should note this is the first album lang has written and recorded with band in 20 years and it’s seriously good (seriously). Also of note: this album might make The Lower Cased One the first Officer of the Order of Canada to sing “I’ll be your daddy.”
Sing It Loud is out April 12 via Nonesuch.
Total non-sequitor after the jump!

!! OMG, please support: Lesbian strip club documentary ‘Shakedown’ !!

Filmmaker Leilah Weinraub is looking for some support to finish her incredible six-year documentary film project, Shakedown:

SHAKEDOWN is the story of a black lesbian strip club in Los Angeles. The film is anchored in the stories of three women: Ronnie Ron, the creator and emcee of Shakedown, a large butch/stud lesbian and former Jehovah’s Witness; Egypt, a single mother, beauty pageant fanatic, and dedicated self – (re)inventor; and Jazmyne, the complicated and sometimes conflicted “Queen” of Shakedown. We go through the process of their labor with them and record what they do, and how they feel about what they are doing.

Please check out the Shakedown Kickstarter page and give if you can. There are some sweet “thank you” gifts to be had, including limited edition records, t-shirts, and even showgirl costumes!
