!! OMG, download the Little Loud remix of Goldfrapp’s “Believer” !!

goldfrapp believer.jpg
It’s been a while since we updated you on the goings-on in the fantastical world of British electro pop duo Goldfrapp. Since the release of their underrated fifth album Head First way back in March, the band has kept busy playing shows and releasing singles. This fall Goldfrapp will embark on a European/UK tour and release a dreamy new single called “Believer” (due out in North America on Sept. 6), which has received an appropriately heavenly reworking from Brighton-based producer Little Loud, a.k.a. Will Phillips (who, judging from his MySpace photo, is only 12-years-old).
Before listening to this remix, you may want to put on your headphones, turn on your wind machine and hop onto your white unicorn:

Goldfrapp also recently wrapped-up a short jaunt through the United States. They’ve cut down a few choice moments from the tour to create a music video for “Believer”. Check out the vid and the band’s fall tour dates after the jump.

!! OMG, together at last: Mimi and RiRi on the same track (sort of) !!

autumfeelingssmaller.jpg
Attention rave air horn fans! After what they’re calling an “afternoon of reckless indiscretion” Brooklyn electronic duo Blondes have paired vocal abstractions from two of the biggest names in R&B, Rihanna and Mariah Carey, together in an insane remix of the former’s hit single “Rude Boy”. I know what you’re thinking: the perfect soundtrack for that late summer Mimi-hole. (Finally!) The track is taken from Merok Records’ Autumn Feelings sampler, which you can download in its entirety right here.

!! OMG, Fever Ray covers Peter Gabriel’s “Mercy Street” !!

mercy street.jpg
Karin Dreijer Andersson’s alter ego Fever Ray isn’t ready to fade quietly into the night just yet. The Swedish performer will release a cover of Peter Gabriel’s 1986 song “Mercy Street” on Sept. 14 just after she wraps up a series of European shows, which will apparently feature all-new visuals by director Andreas Nilsson. If the stage show is as creepy as the above photo, audiences are in for a treat. Here’s what Karin had to say about the track in a press release:

“We made it more intense and faster to fit our eccentric percussionists and energetic live musicians. It is a monotone track but we worked with the dynamics trying to make it sparkle. I listened to it a lot when I was around 15, and it still moves me. It made me start reading Anne Sexton too.”

“Mercy Street” is available for download for the next 24 hours via NME.com. Tour dates after the jump.
